Description

The ANL 500 Amp fuse strip is an ANL-type fuse with a rated current of 500 amperes, designed to protect main power circuits in heavy electrical installations on board vehicles, motorhomes, boats and off-grid energy systems.

At current levels of 500 amperes, applications typically involve multiple batteries connected in parallel, large power inverters or high-power drive systems.

The ANL fuse is installed in the direct cable connection between the battery and the power distribution components, as close as possible to the battery terminal, to protect the full installation length against short circuit and overload.

The fuse strip melts under sustained overcurrent above the rated value, permanently interrupting the circuit and requiring replacement.

The fuse fits into a standard ANL fuse holder and can be replaced without specialist tools, which is essential in installations where rapid intervention may be necessary.

Given the high current capacity, correct cable cross-section in accordance with applicable installation engineering standards is mandatory.

When designing the protection system, the maximum short-circuit current of the battery bank and the current load of the connected wiring must always be taken into account.
