| Description | This ''French'' standard ferrule is designed for conductors with a cross-section of 35mm² and is supplied in packs of 10 pieces. The red colour coding enables rapid visual identification in complex wiring installations involving conductors of multiple cross-sections. At 35mm², this ferrule covers the heaviest segment of current-carrying connections in industrial and infrastructure applications, including main supply lines, generator connections and heavy-duty motor starters. Correct crimping using the appropriate French standard tool is not optional at this cross-section but mandatory: an improper connection can result in excessive contact resistance, heat build-up and, in the worst case, short circuits or fire. The ferrule is manufactured from electrolytically tinned copper, providing stable electrical conductivity and resistance to oxidation throughout the service life of the installation. The polyamide insulated collar mechanically protects the connection and provides isolation from adjacent components. The pack of 10 pieces is suited to project use where only a limited number of these large ferrules are required per switchgear cabinet or connection point. |
